Starting the SDP Journey

This service supports individuals and families who are transitioning from traditional Regional Center services to the Self-Determination Program (SDP). We provide guidance and support throughout the entire transition process, from initial planning and preparation through enrollment and implementation of SDP.

Services may include initial consultations, Person-Centered Planning (PCP), Spending Plan development, preparation and submission of required documentation, communication and coordination with the Regional Center, Financial Management Services (FMS), and service providers, as well as support during IPP and related meetings. Our goal is to help individuals and families navigate the transition process with confidence and establish a strong foundation for success in SDP.

기존 방식으로 리저널 센터 서비스를 받고 계시는 분들이 SDP로 전환하는 과정을 지원하는 서비스입니다. 초기 계획 수립과 준비 단계부터 SDP 등록 및 시작에 이르기까지 전환 과정 전반에 걸쳐 안내와 지원을 제공합니다.

서비스에는 초기 상담, PCP 작성, 지출 계획서 개발, 관련 서류 준비 및 제출, 리저널 센터·FMS·서비스 제공자와의 소통 및 조율, IPP 및 관련 회의 지원 등이 포함될 수 있습니다. 고객과 가족이 SDP 전환 과정을 자신 있게 진행하고, SDP를 성공적으로 시작할 수 있도록 전반적인 지원을 제공합니다.

Ongoing Independent Facilitation

This service provides ongoing support throughout the SDP process so that individuals and families can maintain services in a stable and organized manner.
We work closely with the Regional Center to prepare necessary requests and procedures, and assist with the selection and coordination of the workers and providers who support the participant. We also maintain close communication to ensure that everyone working through the SDP is paid accurately and on time, while continuing to assist with spending plan management and adjustments, coordination with the Financial Management Service (FMS), and all necessary documentation and follow-up tasks. Throughout the process, we continue to help organize and support each step so that the goals and long-term vision of the individual and family are meaningfully reflected in the services in place.

리저널 센터와의 의사소통을 함께하며 필요한 요청과 절차를 준비하고, 고객에게 서비스를 제공하는 인력과 제공자의 선별 및 조율을 돕습니다. 또한 SDP를 통해 일하는 모든 이들이 신속하고 정확하게 급여를 받을 수 있도록 긴밀히 소통하며, 지출 계획의 관리와 조정, FMS와의 협의, 필요한 서류와 후속 절차 등 SDP 진행에 필요한 실무를 지속적으로 함께합니다. 고객과 가족이 바라는 삶의 방향과 목표가 실제 서비스와 지원 안에 반영될 수 있도록 끝까지 함께 정리하고 지원합니다.

We provide Korean translation services for Regional Center and developmental disability-related documents.
While this service is primarily offered to Regional Centers and related agencies, families who need assistance are also welcome to inquire. Most documents provided by Regional Centers or school districts can be requested in Korean at no cost. We will first help determine whether the material can be obtained through the agency, and then provide translation services for documents that are difficult to receive free of charge or require separate translation support.
